Cartographic sketches are really fun especially if you're not talented enough. FlashFaces , a german based startup has created a Flash based application that allows users to literally draw faces with relative ease.
FlashFaces is like a dress-up-a-Barbie-doll game that involves only facial features. Everything is preset so all you have to do is assemble a face starting with the hair then the head, eyes, nose, mouth, and jaw. Facial features like mustaches and beards are also available as well as spectacles. Each feature can be resized fluidly with a X-Y coordinate slider and an opacity level slider.
Faces can be saved on the Flash Faces server for everyone to view and edit. Unfortunately, there aren't any exporting features and faces can only beviewed on the FlashFaces site. There is of course a work around with the PrintScreen key on the keyboard.
All in all, FlashFaces is a cool and useful site especially when you want to see how you would look like when you're on the police's most wanted or if you want to see how you'd fair with different hair styles.
